Karishma Rana megosztja veletek élményeit, amiket Erasmus cserehallgatóként szerzett Veszprémben.
“My main motivation behind participating in the Erasmus+ Student Mobility Programme is that it would give me the chance to travel whilst I study. Being a Tourism Management undergraduate, travelling is something I am very keen on doing. Additionally this opportunity gave me the chance to exchange my own personal experiences with other students from the university and from other countries. Erasmus has opened up a door for me to broaden my horizons and gain first hand experience in building a strong social network with international students.
The reason I chose to study in Hungary was because it was the only country that has University that taught my course in English, but also as it was another city for me toexplore.
I have chosen to apply for the University of Pannonia, because I really like the module system of study. The structure, being different to the University of Derby’s, allows me to undertake numerous modules in order to gain sufficient credits to pass, therefore I specially appreciate the range and variety of modules being offered and the choice of selecting the modules to undertake, which gives me the chance to cover various topics of my interest.
Veszprém is a very beautiful and peaceful city. It was quite cold in the beginning of my studies, but now that’s its April, the sun is out and its getting warmer. Veszprém has many hidden treasures which I will eventually get around to exploring. I’m really looking forward to visiting the Lake Balaton during my stay as I’ve heard a lot of good things about it.
I really did enjoy my stay; I’ve made some very close friends whom I intended on keeping in contact with once this Programme is over. I’ve already made plans to visit them in their home country.
There have been some really great moments from this Programme, such as getting to travel to other countries during my stay. So far I’ve been to Brussels, Paris, Amsterdam and Budapest. But the most memorable moment for me would be that I got to go on this amazing journey with some very special and close friends.”
