NAWA International Project Meeting in Poland

Visiting WSTiE The University College of Tourism and Ecology in Sucha Beskitzka, Poland

Within the framework of NAWA Project we had the opportunity to visit WSTiE, the University College of Tourism and Ecology in Sucha Beskidzka, south Poland in June 2019. With the participation of four countries (Poland, Hungary, England and Italy), the first phase of the project workshop was about Design thinking as a tool for practical support of science and business development based on international partnership. The project (ending in autumn 2020) involves both practical and theoretical activities in connection with tourism and business.
During the project meeting we visited the main attractions in Lesser Poland, including Krakow and Babiogórski National Park, to get a closer look at the touristic features of the area. Based on our previous knowledge and experiences we filled in some SWOT analysis and McKinsey Matrix to contribute to the research of the Polish university concerning the tourism development of the region.
In order to enhance the spirit of entrepreneurship, all students were supposed to give a presentation on their ideas about how their university supports them to become an entrepreneur or start a career in business life.
To sum up, this project meeting was a great opportunity to encounter and successfully collaborate with international students and professors. Inspired by the best practices shared in Poland we are looking forward to the next phase of the NAWA project.

Internship opportunity in Norway

The University of Stavanger (Norway) offers an Erasmus+ Intenship/work placement position at the Admissions office. Starting date is August 2019. The job can be provided for 6 or 12 months. Working hours: 9:00 – 15:00 (30 min. lunch break between 11:30-12:00). There’s no salary, the student is expected to have an Erasmus+ scholarship or other financial support from his/her home university.

Main responsibilities and tasks:
– Supporting the international Admissions team.
– Working with Facebook groups.
– Maintenance of student lists in Excel, registration of data in FS (student database in Norway), correspondence via e-mail, etc.
– Regular updating of webpages.
– Contribution to marketing/ recruitment and promotion activities.
– Other tasks can eventually be added depending on the performance of the applicant.

Who can apply?
– Student enrolled at Bachelor’s or Master’s level or a recent graduate who can receive Erasmus+ scholarship.
– Strong English skills (spoken and written), additional knowledge of other languages will be an advantage.
– Strong communication skills and intercultural awareness.

Internship possibility at The University of Macerata (Italy)

EUM – Macerata University Press (Italy) is looking for trainees for the academic year 2019/2020.

The main activities that the candidates will carry out are:

– support to admin staff to fill in agreements and to manage authors’ rights;

– support for the activities of editing, lay-out, proofreading and production of e-books;

– support to admin staff in the distribution of new titles and publications;

– support for the implementation of EUM communication channel (website, social networks);

– support for the organization of events.

Each candidate must satisfy the following requirements:

– to have a scholarship by their home institution, within the Erasmus+ Traineeships or KA1 Programmes;

– to have a good command of English as well as a basic knowledge of the Italian language (the knowledge of any other European Language will be a plus);

– to have basic ICT skills.

The trainee will normally work from 9 AM to 2 PM, from Monday to Friday (except on Christmas holidays in December and Summer holidays in August).

Kínai delegáció Kőszegen

A Pannon Egyetem Kőszegi Kampuszának és a Felsőbbfokú Tanulmányok Intézetének szervezésében, 20 tagú kínai delegáció érkezett Kőszeg városába.

A zömében főiskolás fiatalok a Zhejiang Yuexiu University of Foreign Languages képviseletében érkeztek tanulmányútra. A kulturális programokon túl tudományos és ismeretterjesztő előadásokat hallgattak az itt töltött idő alatt.

Május 6-án a Gazdaságtudományi Kar is jelen volt a városban, oktatóink és diákjaink találkoztak a delegációval. Rövid kampuszigazgatói köszöntő után Vajda Tünde mutatta be a diákoknak Veszprém városát, a régiót, a Pannon Egytemet és idegen nyelvű képzési kínálatát. Ezt követően Xia Dehua és Tan Panhavaon gazdálkodási és menedzsment szakos hallgatók mutatták be az egyetemi életet, és számoltak be a két év alatti pozitív tapasztalataikról. Végezetül pedig Sasné Dr. Grósz Annamária tartott előadást a nemzetközi marketing kulturális aspektusairól.

Az előadások sikeresek voltak, és várhatóan további együttműködésre is sor kerül majd az egyetemek és az intézet között.

HMEP-SLU scholarships are awarded to selected candidates from Central European countries to pursue their MBA degrees at Saint Louis University.

A DiscoverEU az Európai Unió kezdeményezése, mely lehetőséget kínál az európai fiataloknak, hogy ellátogassanak az EU egy vagy több másik országába. Elsősorban vasúton utazva (kivételes esetekben, pl. szigeteken vagy távoli területeken élők esetében más közlekedési eszközökkel is) felfedezheted Európa változatos tájait és érdekesebbnél érdekesebb városait. Az európai utazás lehetővé fogja tenni Neked, hogy találkozz hozzád hasonló fiatalokkal más országokból, önállóbbá és magabiztosabbá válj, és jobban megértsd az Európai Unióban rejlő értékeket és azt, mit is jelent az európai uniós identitás. Szakmai gyakorlatra ad lehetőséget a Landhotel zum Raben Németországban

A Kiofenberg-i Landhotel zum Raben várja a szakmai gyakorlatot külföldön megvalósítani tervező hallgatók jelentkezését 2019. szeptember 1. és 2019. november 30.-a között.

A gyakorlatról:

– minden szállodai területre kiterjedő és tökéletes német nyelvtudást nem igényel (de előny, ha jól beszélsz!)

– alapfokú német nyelvtudás hiánya esetén is van lehetőség gyakorlatra, de ebben az esetben hátsó területeken való munkavégzésre kell számítani (pl.: konyhai vagy housekeeping feladatok magyar dolgozók közreműködésével)

– hotel és éttermi tapasztalat előny, de nem elvárás

Juttatások:

– heti 40 munkaóra, 810 € bruttó fizetés, melyből a szállás költsége levonásra kerül
