The objective of the H. J. Klein Foundation is to sponsor international exchange by granting scholarships to students (m/f) for a stay abroad. Support is granted to students (m/f) of all specialist fields who have shown proven commitment/ involvement in fostering international exchange.
Heinrich J. Klein and his wife Dr. Liesel Klein brought the foundation into being by contributing a considerable sum from their private funds. The application process is handled by SCHOTT AG.
For your application – in consideration of the guidelines and the charter of the Heinrich J. Klein Foundation (http://www.hj-klein-stiftung.de/) – we need the following documents in the English language:
- Curriculum Vitae/ Resume
- Letter of motivation (Why you are applying, what is the purpose of your stay abroad?) incl. potential starting date and the period of the stay abroad
- Description of how you personally have been supporting international exchange and/or extra-curricular activities in the past
- Letter of recommendation by the responsible professor
- Letter of confirmation of the respective professor abroad
- Estimate of probable costs (flight, university fees, higher cost of living)
Your skill set and qualification:
- Good academic results (above average)
- Commitment to international exchange
- Engagement outside school, studies or job
- Communicative character
- Interpersonal skills
- Open-minded and outgoing
- Internationally mobile
- Fluent English skills
