Falling Walls is a unique international platform for leaders from the worlds of science, business, politics, the arts and society. It was initiated on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall. In this year the foundation organizes an English-language science and innovation competition in Budapest for the second time. The participants has an opportunity to show their innovative ideas in just 3 minutes, showcasing a breakthrough that creates a positive impact on science and society. The best performers can be part of the Falling Walls Lab Finals and the Falling Walls Conference in Berlin, which will be funded by the Falling Walls Lab Foundation and home organizers.
Who can apply:
They welcome applications from undergraduate, graduate, PhD students, postdoctors, young professionals, entrepreneurs and professors who:
– are currently undergoing BSc or MSc, or
– since their BA degree, no more than 10 years have passed, or
– has been in the MSc degree for over 7 years, or
– Their PhD degree has been acquired in the last 5 years.

The public finals of the competition will be at the Semmelweis University – Basic Medical Science Center – Budapest (H-1094), Tűzoltó street 37-43.
The competition is organized by the Falling Walls Foundation under the joint organization of the Budapest Semmelweis University, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and DAAD Hungary.
