The objective of the specialisation
The specialisation focuses on the interrelationship between managerial economics, corporate governance, controlling, accounting and corporate finance. Graduates will be able to manage and analyse the processes of corporate management control systems after having acquired theoretical and practical knowledge.
The specialisation is for you if
- you want to have a confident overview of business operations, their financial and operational aspects;
- you consider it important to know the methods of complex and in-depth analysis and evaluation of company performance;
- you want to learn about the decision support aspects of interpreting cost, performance, profit and loss and financial data;
- you would like to perform managerial decision support, expert and internal advisory functions in support of management functions aimed at the effective and efficient allocation and use of resources to achieve the organisation’s objectives;
- you want to be involved in investment decisions with a reliable knowledge base;
- you want to gain insight into the world of international accounting standards.
Career opportunities by completing this specialisation
Our students can choose from a wide range of job opportunities after completing their Master’s degree. The management and economic skills acquired during the course of their studies enable our students to take up leading positions in the economic parts of large international and domestic companies, to find employment in the public sector, credit and financial institutions, economic consultancy firms, and to start their own business.

Competencies acquired
- The student who has completed the specialisation is well informed in economic, knows the capital structure of companies, return on investment, efficiency and productivity issues.
- He/she is familiar with the system of accounting relationships. Knowledge of the financial accounting framework with particular reference to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Understands the context of financial accounting, management accounting and management control.
- Knowledge, differentiation and application of the tools of financial accounting and management accounting, and their use in the efficient and modern management of the tasks.
- Knowledge of the methodology for measuring and managing corporate performance.
- Understands the organisation’s resource use processes, is able to analyse their contribution to strategy, and applies cost and performance calculation, planning and budgeting methods.
